Environmental Facts
- Dry Ice CO2 pellets are a recycled by-product. They do not create or contribute CO2 and therefore do not add to the greenhouse effect.
- Dry ice blasting has been officially accepted as a safe & effective cleaning procedure by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), FDA (Food and Drug Administration), and USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).
- Dry ice blasting is non-toxic and non-abrasive.
- Dry ice pellets evaporate upon contact into the atmosphere leaving no secondary waste or harmful gas emissions.
- Dry ice blasting is 100% risk-free for use with food processing equipment.
- Dry ice blasting diminishes employee contact with hazardous cleaning materials. This safeguards company liability as well.
- Dry ice blasting is not hazardous to plant, animal or human life.

Dry Ice vs Alternatives
- Worker exposure to dangerous chemical substances can cause serious health problems in the present and the future.
- Soda, sand and water blasting can generate dangerous downstream contamination which can affect other areas.
- Soda, sand and water blasting can create secondary waste which is dangerous and considered toxic once it has touched hazardous materials.
- Soda blasting can destroy nearby plant life.
- Chemical and solvent cleaning procedures are toxic, creating deadly waste that needs to be disposed of appropriately.

Recycled CO2 Information
The greenhouse effect has become a worldwide issue. CO2 is a greenhouse gas, but it is also a natural element of the earth, comprising about 0.03% of our atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is a colorless, tasteless, odourless gas found naturally in our atmosphere. Most greenhouse gases occur naturally and our life would not be the same without them. However, it is estimated that the burning of fossil fuels for heat, energy, transportation, along with animal respiration and the burning of forests are by far the largest contributors of greenhouse gases.
Dry Ice is a recycled bi-product of other industrial processes made from reclaimed CO2. It doesn't produce or add any CO2 to the atmosphere & consequently doesn't contribute to the greenhouse effect.
